Executive Chef Russell Szekely

Chef Szekely opened this “first of it's kind” ballpark in 1992 as executive chef. A 1990 graduate of the Culinary Institute of America, Russell has set benchmarks for quality & innovative cuisine. Instrumental in establishing Oriole Park as a national attraction recognized for great food, Russell oversees the preparation of all food for premium destinations at Oriole Park, including the Camden Club Restaurant, Diamond Buffet, luxury suite catering, Boog Powell's BBQ, Pre-game functions and year round catering to corporations and social clients.

Born & raised in Saratoga Springs New York, Russell has been in the restaurant business for twenty years, working at several fine dining restaurants. Just prior to joining ARAMARK, he was at Biba, an eclectic restaurant in Boston's theatre district, and Topper's @ the Wauwinet on Nantucket Island, an award winning restaurant and Five Diamond inn.

He has served Pope John Paul, Queen Elizabeth and George Bush Sr. in the course of his career. Russell's experience extends beyond Oriole Park, as he has provided culinary expertise during the World Series, NFL Superbowl, MLB Baseball & NBA Basketball All-Star Games, the grand openings of several entertainment venues, and numerous VIP conventions across the country.

Russell brings his culinary expertise and world class palate to the dinner table every night. His experience and commitment to excellence make Oriole Park At Camden Yards a dining destination well worth the trip.
